British Standard Code of Practice
Basement waterproofing systems should be designed and installed in accordance with British Standard Code of Practice BS 8102: 2009.
BS 8102 “code of practice for protection of below ground structures against water from the ground” provides a guiding framework for professional waterproofing design, installation and system maintenance.
Fundamentally, your chosen waterproofing contractor should understand, in detail, issues identified in BS 8102. They should be accredited by at least one waterproofing product supplier and have a suitable guarantee to offer you for your installation.
At Pure Basement Systems, we use the British Standard document as a guiding framework to give you the desired results for your basement project.
