Our client wanted a solution to offer dry usable storage for retail space above. Pure designed and installed a full basement waterproofing scheme to BS 8102:2009 consisting of a Wykamol Cavity Drainage System. The basement had been “tanked” previously and water had breached the existing “tanking” system in numerous places.
Prevention of water ingress was a major concern given that the basement was flooding and dry storage space for the retail floor above was critical in the overall scheme.
Pure installed a Wykamol cavity drainage system with an internal discreet perimeter drainage channel incorporating inspection/maintenance ports and two twin sump pump stations with automatic sump pumps and telemetric alerts. The surface cover system consisted of an 8mm wall membrane and floor membrane.
