Commissioned to replace basement waterproofing system.

The Brief:
Our clients Mr and Mrs Lockyer had problems with the basement in their recently developed home near Ripon, North Yorkshire which was unfortunately prone to flooding. They commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would remediate his damp and flood issues resulting in a dry basement. The Basement had an external waterproofing system which had failed allowing water to pass through the structure and into the basement.

Result:
Working in partnership with Mr and Mrs Lockyer, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat the flood water ingress and damp. We install
ed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station, battery back-up kit, perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system and full plastering completed the basement conversion. The completed project reinstated the basement in York to a dry, warm residential space, the basement waterproofing system improved the internal air quality and allowed our client to use the space as a basement bedroom and basement office.
