Commissioned to install waterproofing system after failure of tanking system and to fit out basement for additional Living Space – Basement TV Room.

The Brief:
Our client, Mr Goodchild, wanted to create additional dry basement living space in his period property in Leeds which was also prone to flooding. The basement had been tanked previously but the tanking had failed resulting in severe dampness and water ingress. Mr Goodchild wanted a complete basement make-over and fit out after the installation of a high-quality basement waterproofing system. He commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would  remediate his damp and flood issues resulting in a dry basement which could be converted into a traditional style TV Room.

Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Goodchild, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat the flood water ingress and damp. We installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station, perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system and full plastering completed the basement conversion. Our decorating team completed the basement conversion to a very high standard. The completed project added the significant additional habitable space Mr Goodyear required, improved the internal air quality and also added value to the property.
