Commissioned to create dry additional storage space
The Brief:
Our client, Mrs Walker, wanted to create additional dry storage space in which to clothing in the damp cellar in her traditional period stone detached villa in Harrogate, North Yorkshire which was also prone to flooding.
She commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would remediate his damp and flood issues resulting in a dry ventilated basement
Result:
Working in partnership with Mrs Walker, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat the flood water ingress and damp. We installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station, battery back-up kit perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system and full plastering completed the basement conversion. Pure Basement Systems Joiners and Decorators then completed the final stages of the fit-out to offer an exceptionally high-quality basement conversion
The completed project added the significant additional dry storage space Mrs Walker required, improved the internal air quality and also added value to the property.
