Commissioned to create additional habitable space and basement home cinema

The Brief: 
Our client Mr Geary wanted to create a modern home cinema in his basement in Stockport, Cheshire which was also prone to sever dampness and minor flooding. He commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would remediate his damp and flood issues resulting in a dry cellar which could be converted into a fantastic modern cinema room with an adjacent Basement Toilet. The Basement Home Cinema created fantastic additional space in Mr Gearys Period property in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Geary, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat the minor flood water ingress and damp. We installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station, perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system and full plastering completed the basement conversion. Bespoke joinery was installed to house AV equipment and the basement home cinema was installed. The completed project added the significant additional habitable space Mr Geary required, improved the internal air quality and also added value to his property in Stockport.
