Our client required a comprehensive and robust damp proofing system for this project. The project consisted of the renovation of 12 dilapidated barns to create holiday accommodation in Scalby North Yorkshire. Pure installed cavity drainage membrane to all walls to 2m high and formed a physical connection with the floor membrane to preclude dampness. The main walls to the barns were saturated given that they had been open to the elements for many years. The vertical membrane system offered a long-term robust solution to dampness in the main walls of the buildings.
The project consisted of the installation of a full Cavity Drainage Membrane (basement waterproofing) system with insulated walls & floors, and a full dry-lining solution. The mains walls required no drying times and with insulated dry-lining fit-out times were greatly reduced.
Pure Basement Systems have successfully completed many membrane installations throughout Yorkshire – both above and below ground level.
