The Pure Package: Our Process

Your Enquiry

When you make your initial enquiry to Pure Basement Systems, one of our Project Administrators will take some information from you about your property and what you are hoping to achieve. Upon understanding your objectives, they will book a free site survey appointment. This initial information helps us to form a Project Brief to understand your property and requirements.

Scoping your specific requirements and expectations is key to ensuring you receive the relevant expert advice throughout your project. This results in a high quality finished basement conversion. Our business is built on referrals from satisfied customers, delivering and exceeding expectations is what we do.

Your Survey

Michael Foster who is our experienced CSSW Qualified Surveyor will visit you at your home to discuss your requirements, carry out a basement Feasibility Assessment to gauge whether your property is suitable for conversion. It is also during this stage that we’ll discuss your design ideas. He will also explain the systems, products and processes we use to perform a basement conversion. Our clients find this process extremely satisfying.

Your 3D CAD Plan & Budget Estimate

Using the information our Surveyor collects at your survey, he will then prepare a budget estimate and a 3D CAD Sketch Plan to allow you to assess the lifestyle and investment potential your basement conversion will yield.

Consultation, Final Design & Quotation

The next stage in the process sees your Project Manager work in collaboration with you (and where appropriate other design professionals & building engineers) to finalise your basement conversion drawings and provide you with our detailed quotation regarding your project.

We will also invite you to visit previous customers in your area to see our work for yourself and take up references for your own peace of mind.

Pre-Start Site Visit

Once your project start date has been agreed, your Project Manager will visit you to perform a pre-start site visit to discuss the construction plan and the day-to-day logistics of the project. It is at this stage we will ask you to provide a deposit to confirm the booking and start the project.

The Construction Phase

Under the close supervision of your Project Manager, Pure’s team of experienced, qualified tradespeople will transform your damp cellar into valuable additional storage or living space as per your brief. Regular progress meetings will be scheduled with you to ensure that you are kept up to speed with the progress of your project and to allow you the opportunity to inspect the ongoing works.

Pure Basement Systems are a specialist basement conversion company who have built a reputation for providing high quality basement conversions, underpinned by robust, effective waterproofing systems. As such, we only use high quality, technically advanced waterproofing products from industry leading suppliers in the process of carrying out your conversion.

We also carry out documented quality control checks throughout your project, (where applicable liaising with the local Building Control Officer on your behalf to obtain your certification).

The project sign-off is the point at which your basement conversion is complete and you are entirely satisfied with your completed project. If you are not 100% happy with your conversion, we simply haven’t done our job.

Safety, Maintenance and After Care

After project sign-off, Pure Basement Systems provide you with a Basement Project File. The file offers help and advice on getting the best out of your basement. It contains your technical drawings and guarantees as well as information about any ongoing service requirements.

Sump pumps and drainage

Most basement conversions require the installation of a sump pump or a drainage pump (or both). These units need to be serviced regularly, just like any other mechanical item, to ensure that they work effectively and continue to protect your basement from flooding for many years to come. Pure Basement Systems will contact you annually when services are due. As well as servicing specified items we will also carry out basic checks on your overall Pure Basement System.
