Manchester Basement Conversion – Flooded Basement to Dry Multi Room Living Space
Our client’s basement at his traditional end of terrace house in Manchester flooded out after heavy rainfall. The basement had a partial waterproofing system which unfortunately hadn’t been designed/installed correctly in line with the Industry code of practice BS8102: 2009. Pure designed and installed a bespoke new basement waterproofing system with twin high capacity pumps, sealed wall/floor membrane and a discreet sub floor perimeter drainage channel. At the same time as upgrading the waterproofing system we installed insulation to walls/floors, dry lining and plastered throughout before completing bespoke joinery works, fitting new floor coverings and fully decorating the basement to return it to its pre-flood state.
