Commissioned to create extra living space comprising of an en-suite bedroom
The Brief:
Mr Lister commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a bespoke waterproofing system which would result in a warm, dry basement and provide him with an additional living/bedroom and a luxury feature shower room in his large Victorian stone faced semi-detached property in Rawdon which was suffering from severe damp.
The Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Lister, Pure Basement Systems specified and installed a waterproofing package complete with a twin sump pump, perimeter drainage channels and sealed wall and floor cavity drainage membrane to effectively combat the damp ingress.
The extensive associated building works to create the additional living/bedroom and luxury feature shower room included:
The installation of a waste water removal system to service the shower room, the installation of a large light well and French doors to maximise natural daylight to the living/bedroom, high quality insulation to complement the waterproofing system with full plastering, joinery and the installation of the luxury shower room .
The completed project added stunning additional space, improved the internal air quality and added value to the property.
