Our client in Yeadon near Leeds wanted to maximise on the space in his period stone mid terraced property. This could be achieved by converting the two roomed wet cellar into a traditionally styled basement living room with feature fire place and window to allow natural light in, the second room was to be used as a utility room and WC.
Working with our client, Pure Basement Systems, along with our partner architect and structural engineer formulated a full architectural design and waterproofing system package, which included digging down to create the headroom required. The high performance waterproofing system was installed, complete with twin sump pumps, perimeter drainage channels and sealed wall and floor cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was situated along with traditional detailing, and a double glazed full opening escape window and new basement light wells. Full plastering and joinery completed this high quality, dry, light basement conversion.
This is just one of many quality basement conversions Pure Basement Systems have completed in Leeds.
