Commissioned to create additional storage space
The Brief:
Our client, Mr Light, wanted to create additional dry storage space in which to store electrical goods in the damp cellar in his traditional stone faced mid-terrace in Guiseley, Leeds which was also prone to flooding .
He commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would remediate his damp and flood issues resulting in a dry basement.
Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Light, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat the flood water ingress and damp. We installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station, perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system and full plastering completed the basement conversion.
The completed project added the significant additional dry storage space Mr Light required, improved the internal air quality and also added value to the property.
