Lancaster Basement Conversion – Flooded Basement to Warm Dry Living Space
Our client’s basement in their traditional terraced house Victorian house in Lancaster flooded out after heavy rainfall. There was an existing poorly designed / installed waterproofing system. Pure designed and installed a new waterproofing system with twin high capacity pumps, sealed wall / floor membrane and a discreet sub floor perimeter drainage channel. At the same time as upgrading the waterproofing system we also installed insulation to walls / floor / ceilings, drylined and plastered and carried out bespoke joinery and full decoration the basement. A battery back-up kit was also fitted to the sump chamber to offer pump capacity in the event of mains power failure (which is highly possible in a flash flood situation).
