Commissioned to create additional space within the property comprising two en-suite bedsits
The Brief:
Mr Lovell commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a suitably robust waterproofing system and undertake the building works required to convert his flooded damp basement into 2 separate marketable rental properties at his investment property in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, creating an additional 2 bedsits with ensuite bathrooms.
The Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Lovell, Pure Basement Systems specified a bespoke structural waterproofing package to combat the flood water and damp ingress. The high performance waterproofing system was installed, complete with two twin pump assembly sump pumps with battery back-up, perimeter drainage channels and sealed wall and floor cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was then situated along with an acoustic system to prohibit sound transmission between the rooms in accordance with current planning requirements. Full plastering, joinery and the installation of the two ensuite bathrooms then completed the project significantly increasing the property’s rental income potential and it’s overall value.
