Commissioned to remediate a damp basement to create additional dry storage space
The Brief:
Mr Milnes commissioned Pure Basement Systems to specify and install a robust waterproofing system in the basement of his traditional stone faced period town house in Harrogate, North Yorkshire which suffered from damp. Mr Milnes wanted to use his basement to facilitate a dry storage area.
The Result:
Working in partnership with Mr Milnes, Pure Basement Systems designed a structural waterproofing package incorporating humidity controlled ventilation to combat the damp ingress to the area. Pure’s technichians installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station and sealed wall and floor cavity drainage membrane and a ventilation system. High quality insulation was then installed to complement the waterproofing system and full plastering was performed to create a high quality, dry, insulated basement conversion.
The completed project added valuable additional dry storage space and value to the property.
