Commissioned to design and install basement waterproofing system and reinstate basements fully after flooding
The Brief:
Our client and insurance company contacted Pure Basement Systems to design and install a full basement waterproofing system after the existing “tanked” cellar flooded.
The damp cellar in the traditional stone faced mid-terraced house in Hyde, Manchester was prone to flooding .
Our client commissioned Pure Basement Systems to design and install a waterproofing system which would remediate flood issues resulting in a dry basement.
Result:
Working in partnership with the policyholder and the insurers, Pure Basement Systems specified a structural waterproofing package to combat the flood water ingress and damp. We installed a high performance waterproofing system, complete with a twin sump pump station, battery back-up kit, perimeter drainage channels and sealed floor and wall cavity drainage membrane. High quality insulation was installed to compliment the waterproofing system and full plastering completed the basement conversion.
The completed project added the significant additional dry storage space required, improved the internal air quality and added value to the property.
