Multi Room Basement Conversion in Yeadon, Leeds
As part of a whole house renovation of a Victorian stone terrace in Yeadon, Leeds, our clients required a full multi room basement conversion from a wet previously flooded cellar. The conversion would provide an additional family living room/media room, a utility area, a home office and lower ground floor toilet.
Pure specified and installed a full ‘Type C’ basement waterproofing system with perimeter channels, sealed cavity wall and floor cavity drainage membrane, drainage lift pump and high specification twin sump pump station with battery back-up and pump monitoring station. The battery back-up gave our clients the added peace of mind that in the event of a power cut the integrity of the basement waterproofing wouldn’t be affected. The basement was then fully insulated and new emergency access windows installed to two rooms. Dry lining and full plaster skim then followed and full bespoke joinery performed to the client’s specifications before decorations.
The client is delighted with their conversion and is enjoying the significant extra space it has created in their family home.
