Basement Conversion in Wilmslow, Cheshire to create additional Living and Working Space
Our client requested that the damp cellar beneath their large Victorian brick semi-detached home in Wilmslow, Cheshire be waterproofed and converted into a Family Room, Home Office and a Utility Room with Bespoke Storage Cabinets. They wanted to increase the living space in their property. As such, they contracted Pure to create and help them visualise their new space.
The project consisted of replacing the stone slab solid floor, installing a full waterproofing system comprising twin sump pumps, discrete perimeter floor channel and cavity drain membrane sealed to walls and floor. Next, high performance insulation was installed to walls, floors and ceilings. A new escape window was added as well as new electrics to the area followed by full plastering and bespoke joinery to the clients specifications.
The clients were delighted with the finished project and the amount of space it has added to their home.
