Our clients property comprised 6 basement flats, which were all suffering from widespread damp caused by regular flooding.
Pure Basement Systems were called in to assess the cause and extent of the basement damp and water ingress and to prepare a quotation for the remediation of the damp and a flood prevention system.
Our CSSW (Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) specialist surveyor specified a combination automatic sump pump and cavity drainage membrane tanking system which would prevent further flooding to the basement.
The bespoke system consisted of purpose built sump pump stations – with twin pumps, battery back-up and alarm system linked to a telephone dialler which was set up to call managing agents, the care-taker and our client. The system also incorporated sealed wall and floor membranes and perimeter drainage channels to BS8102:2009.
This is just one of many quality basement waterproofing projects Pure Basement Systems have completed in Wakefield.
