Our client’s converted basement kitchen was suffering from widespread damp.
Pure Basement Systems were called in to assess the cause and extent of the damp and to prepare a quotation for the remediation of the damp in the basement.
Our CSSW (Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) specialist surveyor diagnosed both extensive rising damp and penetrating damp. He specified a combination automatic sump pump and a cavity drainage membrane tanking system to solve the damp problems and create a completely dry internal environment.
Pure Basement Systems designed and installed a full bespoke waterproofing system with sump pump and sealed wall and floor membranes to BS8102:2009. Once the basement had been waterproofed, we installed high efficiency insulation to the walls, floors and ceilings; to create warm, dry living accommodation. This was followed by dry lining to walls and ceilings with a smooth plaster skim finish. The basement conversion was finished with bespoke joinery items and decorating to the clients specifications.
This is just one of many quality basement conversions Pure Basement Systems have completed in Leeds.
