Mr and Mrs N our client had a basement store which had been unsuccessfully “tanked” previously. The existing system comprised of a cement based “tanking product” and land drainage installed under the basement floor. The sub floor land drainage had blocked after only a few years and the cement system had failed to offer waterproofing protection. The basement flooded during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall. Pure Basement Systems were contacted to design and prepare a full specification for the effective basement waterproofing and basement refinishing. Pure Basement Systems designed the outline project and completed the basement conversion in York providing the required high quality dry useable space. The basement conversion consisted of the installation of a full Cavity Drainage Membrane (basement waterproofing) system, discreet perimeter floor drainage conduit and an integral automatic sump pump station with twin pumps(and battery back-up) to control ground water, insulated walls & floors, and a full dry-lining solution. The basement conversion was then finished to a high standard with full decorations and quality floor finishes
